The Kalariyoga Class in Tokohama YOGA FEST 2007 was successfully completed yesterday with more than 50 people participated. It was a great opportunity to let many people experience Kalari. I am very grateful for all the participants!(25-9-2007)

Asami Profile -
Born in Tokyo. The first visit to India was to learn Indian classic dance
when she was a student at university. Through learning Indian dance, she got
to know other Indian culture like Ayurveda and Yoga. In 2001, again to
India to learn
Yoga and to conduct research on Ayurveda. There she accidentally met kalarippayattu
through the research on Ayurvedic massage. She joined the CVN kalar(Nadakav)
and started training kalari under Mr. Sunilkumar. To get a greater understanding
of kalari, she joined the ayurveda university. From 2003 to 2006, she learned
the basics of Ayurveda at Gujarat Ayurveda University through the
Indian government scholarship. She intends to
learn more about kalari treatment from now on.
