Som Brasil is a four men band composed of Brazilians and Japanese. They are Paulo Gomes (Key, Vo), the leader, Gustavo Anacleto (Sax, Fl, Vo), Shinichi Sato (B) and Kiyotaka Kuroda (Dr).
Endowed with the gBrazilian treasuresh that are lively rhythm, enchanting groove and sophisticated sound, they play music like Samba, Bossa nova, MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), Brazilian jazz and so on.
Each of the members is an important musician in the Brazilian music sector in Japan. Unique and versatile Som Brasil is a reliable band, which steadily perform a broad range of music from the newest J-POP to a traditional jazz. It is natural that they are eagerly sought after by many.
The superb collaboration by the Brazilian and Japanese hearts has now created the wonderful world; possible only by Som Brasil. Their every live performance, which makes you enjoy the utmost of joy of music, has been much talked of and now got attention of many music fans.
Son Brasil has released their second album, gLive at Brazilian Embassy in Tokyogproduced by Brazilian Embassy.
They have performed in many occasions. Just to raise some; Event lives at Brazilian Embassy, twice at gHimawari Concerth hosted by Chiba Bank, Tokyo Jazz Circuit, Shizuoka Jazz Festival, Apple Store Ginza Theatre, TVK-TV, Music Air-TV, Roppongi Hills Latin Event, Yokohama Bay Quarter Event, Odaiba Venus Fort Event, Kinnou Hachimangu Reitaisai Shibuya Sound Paradise, Concert to commemorate the 100 year of Japan-Brazil relationship, Aoba International School Event, Concert hosted by International Tourism Association of Gunma Prefecture, Rokushonomori Concert ( One of g 100 Arts in Setagaya g ), Motion Blue Yokohama, Ikspiari, Sometime, Plaça Onze, hotel events, live houses and so on.
